Commissioned by the Institute of Contemporary Art San Francisco, Radial Ritual is a performance by acclaimed choreographer and artist Madeline Hollander to celebrate the ground breaking of Lily Kwong: EARTHSEED DOME.
Madeline Hollander’s Radial Ritual, presented by ICA SF and programming partner Art at a Time Like This, is a site-specific performance in Transamerica Redwood Park marking the inception of Lily Kwong: EARTHSEED DOME. Featuring six dancers, the choreography draws inspiration from multiple scales: the rhythmic mechanistic movements of the 3D-printing arm, the motions of germination as redwood seeds unfold their roots, as well as traditional agricultural folk dances. Through its cyclical repetition, the performance becomes a ritual that connects ancient technologies with the new and reveals the synergies made possible by this interplay of material, form, and community action.
Radial Ritual continuously cycles from the future site of EARTHSEED DOME, through Transamerica Redwood Park to the location of the 3D printing arm, and back through the park to the site. The performance loops for approximately 30 minutes. The audience is welcome to follow the performers through the redwoods, and come and go as they please.
Dancers are Eloise DeLuca, Nayomi Van Brunt, Katie Gaydos, Natalya Janay Shoaf, Celine Alwyn, Isabella Soo-Hoo.

Live performances on January 15 & 17, 2026, at Transamerica Redwood Park.
